Life Insurance

Employees working at least 30 hours a week, after 1 month of uninterrupted service, are eligible for life insurance through SunLife.
This benefit is paid in full by Chipotle.

Basic Life Insurance

  • Flat rate of $25,000
  • Benefit will reduce to 50% once age 65 is reached
  • Coverage ends before retirement or age 70

Basic Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance

  • Flat rate of $25,000
  • Coverage ends before retirement or age 70

Basic Dependent Life Insurance

  • Spouse coverage: flat rate of $10,000
  • Child coverage: flat rate of $5,000 (each child)
  • Coverage ends before retirement or age 70

Disability Benefits

Employees working at least 30 hours a week, after 1 month of uninterrupted service, are eligible for disability benefits through SunLife.
This benefit is paid in full by Chipotle.

Short-Term Sickness Benefit

  • Pays 66.67% of weekly pay to a maximum of $1,000 for up to 26 weeks
  • Waiting period of 7 days for illness
  • Coverage ends before retirement or age 70

Long-Term Disability Insurance

  • Pays 66.67% of monthly pay to a maximum of $5,000 with medical proof, or $1,000 without medical proof
  • Premium paid by Chipotle to allow for taxable benefit-mandatory coverage
  • Coverage ends before retirement or age 65 (less elimination period of 26 weeks)
